disciple people by providing a biblically based, spiritual foundation that
will lead all to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Health
and Wellness Committee
The Grace Health and Wellness Committee and The Mental Health Ministry were merged to form the Health and Wellness Committee in 2008. With the integration of these two
programs, the ministry will endeavor to better support the whole person’s needs incorporating the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual being. It is in recognizing the interface of these needs that all Health and Wellness programming will be based. The Parish Nurse interacts and advises the committee and attends all of the meetings.
Programs and opportunities provided by the Health and Wellness Committee in 2008 included:
- Blood Pressure Screenings
- Blood Drives: February/August
- Health Screening Assessment Program: An Advocate
Health Care Program jointly held with The First Congregational Church of Western Springs - Healthy Living Series co-sponsored with the Adult Education Committee
- Mental Health Awareness Week: A resource table provided literature, pamphlets, brochures and community resources on mental health.

Evangelism
/Fellowship Committee
Reaching out to people with God's Good News and helping
them respond is the joyous responsibility of this committee and of all Christians
in our congregation. Evangelism is part of every aspect of our congregation's
life and work. It is never merely a program to be emphasized one season and
forgotten the next. top of page
