Alice Oscarson, Family Ministry Coordinator
Alice Oscarson, or Mrs. O, as the kids affectionately call her, is our Family Ministry Coordinator here at Grace. Alice, her husband David, and her daughter Johanna have been members here since June of 2007. Prior to coming to Grace Lutheran, they worshiped at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in LaGrange Park. They live in Brookfield with their very old puppy Abbi, and their very loud parakeet Basil.
Alice has been an employee of the Greater LaGrange YMCA (formerly known as RichPort YMCA) since September 1999. She has coached Basketball, t-ball, gymnastics, as well as taught Adult fitness classes and Go!Girl!Go! for teen girls She has always loved the community spirit of the YMCA.
Since coming to Grace Lutheran she has had the joy of being a part of our Youth and Family Committee becoming the Chairperson in January of 2010. Alice says of her time at Grace, “I have been fortunate to meet so many of the amazing youth that come to Grace Lutheran, and I can’t wait to have a deeper relationship with them. I have also had great opportunities to meet many of the wonderful members here. I am looking forward to meeting so many more!”
