Pastor Susan Gerow,
Associate Pastor

Pastor Susan Gerow serves as the part-time Associate Pastor for Caring and Outreach Ministries. With talented staff colleagues and lay members of Grace Lutheran Church, she seeks to enhance and enrich the pastoral care ministries of the congregation, and to facilitate the assimilation of prospective and new members into the mission of Christ’s church. She thinks she has the best job at Grace Church!

Pastor Gerow graduated from Lenoir Rhyne College in North Carolina, then earned a Master of Science-Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1975. She earned her Master of Divinity from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago in 1985 and a Doctor of Ministry from LSTC in 2001. She has served five small, medium, and large congregations in the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of the ELCA, most recently assisting at Grace and St. James Lutheran Churches during their final covenant year. In addition to serving at Grace Church, she is the chaplain at King-Bruwaert House, a continuing care retirement community, in Burr Ridge.
